E-commerce automation and scaling
Orders, stock, prices and customer data sit across shop, marketplace and ERP. In between, people retype. We pull the repetition together before the next platform is added.

The situation
Orders arrive from the own shop, from Amazon or Otto, by mail and sometimes as a photo. Each source has a different mask, and inside sales types them into the ERP.
Stock, prices and tracking numbers live in five systems. What the shop still shows as available is already gone in the warehouse.
What works by hand at fifty orders a day breaks at five hundred. Then a new shop system is bought, and the retyping stays.
What we build
/ 01
Pull the inbound together
Shop, marketplace, mail, fax, B2B portal. Every order lands as a case with lines, customer and delivery wish, wherever it arrived. Unclear lines go to approval, not silently into the ERP.
/ 02
Stock, shipping and returns between the systems
What goes out writes the stock back. What comes back opens the returns case and lays it next to the original order. Tracking and status run into the channel the order came from, without anyone copying.
/ 03
Scale without replacing the shop
The platform stays, Shopify, Shopware, Magento or the ERP. We automate the repetition in between. A relaunch is its own project and rarely the answer to growing order volume.
What we do not automate
The most honest part of any project. On the left, what a system can take over. On the right, what stays with a person.
| The system handles it | A person keeps it | |
|---|---|---|
| Orders | Read, match, open a case, send unclear lines to approval | Set prices or invent discounts |
| Stock and shipping | Reconcile shop, marketplace and warehouse, write status back | The price decision, or which warehouse empties first |
| Customer questions | Triage, prepare standard cases, answer where-is-my-parcel | Decide complaints and goodwill |
| Shop system | Dock onto the existing shop and ERP | Replace the shop just because order volume is rising |
Common questions
- We run Shopify or Shopware. Is an app not enough?
- For one job inside the shop, often yes, and then we say so. The bottlenecks sit in between: marketplace, ERP, warehouse, tax advisor, returns. There is rarely an app that talks to all five without someone still retyping. We check first whether an existing connection is enough.
- Is this AI or classic automation?
- Both, and the split is uneven. Stock and tracking are chains without a model. Free text from mail and photos, matching against 40,000 SKUs, that is the AI part, with approval when unsure. Whoever sells the whole flow as an AI project is selling the expensive part for the entire run.
- Does this work with Amazon, Otto or wholesale?
- Yes, as long as there is an interface or an exportable order. Marketplace rules change, so approval on deviations stays with you. A marketplace account nobody administers is not an automation problem.
- From when does this pay off?
- When the same transfer happens every day and errors hit the warehouse or the customer. Below a few dozen orders a day the build rarely pays. Above that it depends on the bottleneck, not on the shop software.
